About UsOUR STORY SO FAR... Seijitsu Akitas... I am a small show kennel located just off the M40 in Oxfordshire. I have been involved with Akitas for the last 7 years, through hard work and dedication my male Thomas has been awarded a Challenge Certificate and a Reserve Challenge Certificate as well as a Best Puppy Dog winner to name but a few all in the first 2 years of our show career. Seijitsu now have some more promising prospects with my own homebred babies which are proving themselves in the showring.I am also involved with running my local dog training society, Oxford Dog Taining Society, where I am a commitee member for the club. My main duties are to maintain the small website. I also run my own puppy socilsation class for the society and share the ringcraft class, helping others enjoy showing ther dogs.I also offer private one to one lessons for complete novices, here I teach the new handler how to get the best out of their dog, and a few basics on ring procedures. Highlights from 2008... One of the highlights of 2008 was Thomas winning his first Reserve Challenge Certificate at the National Dog Show in May, which qualified him for CRUFTS for life and meant he attained his stud book number. Looking forward to 2009... Thomas came out with a bang at the beginning of 2009, gaining his first Challenge Certificate at Manchester Championship Show, he is due to be taking a 6 month break from the show ring at the beginning of the year to have some family time, Thomas has been showing since he was 7 months old right up until recently with very little time out, Thomas is going to be 3 years old this year in November.After Thomas's break earlier this year, he comes out winning 1st Limit Dog 2 shows on the trot, lets hope there's still more to come.We have 2 very special puppies due out in the Summer of 2009, and we will be campaigning Thomas later in the year.
